The search feature lets you quickly find pages on this website that contain a specific word or phrase or 'term'.

- "friday" to find places where you can ring on a Friday
- "surprise minor" for information about Surprise Minor ringing

Limitations
There are currently several limitations that you will find helpful to note:
- Wildcard characters are not supported. If you included characters like "?" or "*" in your search, the results will include these characters
- Do not include quotation marks unless you specifically want to search for them
- Note in particular: Newsletters are not included in the search. Neither is the annual programme or any pdf documents, etc.
- Results indicate the page that contains the search term, and highlights the position of the term within a sentence. But when the page is selected, the location of the term on the page is not highlighted. Also, there could be more than one occurrence of the term on a page. Note that pages containing multiple occurrences are only reported once in the results. Once you have navigated to a page your browser may allow you to search that page for the term.
- Search terms are not case sensitive, e.g "bell" and "BeLL" return the same results
- Search will detect partial matches, e.g. bell will find bellringer, "chip" will find "chipenham"
- Multiple search terms are not supported. For example, "bristol, from" will find the phrase "bristol, from", not pages containing "bristol" and/or "from".
- Spaces are included in the search, and the number of spaces is significant. For example "iron acton" will return expected results but "iron acton" (with two spaces between iron and acton) will probably not.
